On April 15, 2025, Mr. Dookyu KIM, the president of the Korean Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA), led a delegation to visit the All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA). The ACPAA President, Mr. He Hua, Vice Presidents Mr. Wu Dajian, Mr. Long Chun, Mr. Wang Dazuo and Mr. Xie Shunxing, Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Zeng Fanfu, and the Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Working Committee Mr. Cheng Wei, and Committee Member Mrs. Duan Xiaoling attended the joint meeting. After the joint meeting, ACPAA-KPAA Seminar were held at the China Intellectual Property Training Center, with over 40 domestic intellectual property practitioners in attendance.

At the joint meeting, Mr. He Hua and Mr. Dookyu KIM delivered opening remarks respectively. Mr. Cheng Wei, the representative of ACPAA, and Mr. Jinwon CHUN, the Director of KPAA International Affairs Department, introduced the latest situations of two associations respectively. Both sides had in-depth discussions on the organization structure and management of the associations, the optimization of management processes, and the recommendation of patent litigation qualifications. The Seminar focused on the exchange of cutting-edge topics in the Korean intellectual property and patent field. The Korean representatives shared profound insights on Patent Prosecution System, Latest trends in Patent Applications, BM inventions, and the Patent Revocation System. During the Q&A session, the participants actively spoke up and engaged in discussions on the above topics.

This meeting further enhanced communication and cooperation between two associations, and deepened the mutual understanding of the patent agency profession and intellectual property systems of China and Korea. Moreover, it provided a high-quality exchange platform for Chinese and Korean intellectual property practitioners to learn the latest information and expand overseas business.
